Directions to Riddlecombe Manor Farm
The village of Riddlecombe is situated
approximately2 miles from Ashreigney, 4 miles from Winkleigh and 2.5
miles from Dolton.
Below are 2 different routes, by taking
route A you will miss several miles of country lanes.
Route A - From the City of Exeter
- From Exeter take the A377 for Crediton,
continue on passing through Crediton, Copplestone and onto Morchard
road where there is a pub called the 'Sturt Arms'
- Fork left here onto the B3220 Winkleigh
to Torrington road. Follow the main road for some miles until Dolton
Beacon Garage is reached.
- Take a right fork at the garage,
continue some 200 yards and then turn right towards Riddlecombe Village.
- Manor Farm can be found half way
through the village on the left, down a short drive.
Route B - From the M5
- Depart the M5 (south) at Junction
27 (Tiverton, Barnstaple) Turn Right (3rd exit off the junction) onto
the A361(dual carriage) towards Tiverton.
- Continue along, onto roundabout
and straight over.
- Follow the A361 North Devon Link
Road, until you reach a small roundabout, take the 1st exit left for
South Molton.
- Continue into the centre of South
Molton and then turn left onto the B3226 (this is a winding road which
follows the river Mole.)
- Continue along this road for several
miles, passing the 'Head Mill' Trout Farm.
- At the junction adjoining the A377
continue left towards Exeter.
- Turn right after 1 mile at Colleton
Mills.
- After quarter of a mile turn left
for Ashreigney (you are now on Devon country lanes)
- Turn right at the junction in Ashreigney
and follow the signs to Riddlecombe.
- The lane to Manor Farm can then
be found half way through the village on the right (down beside a
green cottage)
