Dan, Philippa, Freddie, Tilly and Bertie offer a warm welcome here at Riddlecombe Manor Farm and are extremely proud to let their adjoining cottage for holiday makers all year round. The cottage is an ideal choice if you are a family looking to relax while the children explore the playroom, garden or even help out on the farm and is equally suitable for couples or adult groups who want to sit back and enjoy a glass or two with some peace and quiet in an area designated ‘Great Landscape Value’.
Situated in the beautiful Cottwood Vally our working farm extends to some 140 acres and is the home to a herd of 150 milking Jersey cows of varying ages (and characters!) and with some ducks and a handful of egg laying chickens – there is always something going on at Riddlecombe Manor Farm! You can totally immerse yourself in the farm, watching the cows being milked, petting baby calves or feeding the poultry and collecting eggs each morning (eggs taste so much better when you collect them yourself!) or simply use it as a base for exploring the magnificent county of Devon.
The Farm is surrounded by wooded valleys and pretty streams. Wildlife is in abundance which includes rabbits, pheasants, badgers, foxes and many birds. There are many footpaths throughout the farm as well as woodland walks and counrty lanes with hedgerows full of wild flowers and blackberries (if you are here at the right time of year!). We hope to see you soon at Riddlecombe Manor Farm.
How about helping us feed the chickens or collect the eggs for breakfast?
The beautiful Instow beach with it’s glorious walks and great collection of waterfront pubs & restaurants… always worth a visit!
Fun & frolics at the Big Sheep more your thing? Good choice! And with the beach, cliffs and amusements at Westward Ho! plus shopping & dining at Atlantic village nearby it’s well worth the trip!
