Riddlecombe
In the cottwood valley, is run by Ginny and her two children Bradley (6) and Francesca (4).
The working farm extends to 160 acres and houses about 200 head of dairy cattle of varying ages. The farm is used to rear young stock ready for the milking at the family farm near Winkleigh. Although the milking herd is a short drive away you are more than welcome to visit and watch the cows being milked. Different tasks are undertaken throughout the year at Riddlecombe Manor which you are free to watch and even join in when possible.
The Farm is in an area designated as ‘Great Landscape Value' and includes wooded valleys and pretty streams. Wildlife is in abundance which includes rabbits, pheasants, badgers, foxes and many birds. There are plenty of footpaths throughout the farm as well as woodland walks and country lanes with hedgerows full of wild flowers.
Visitors are very welcome to feed the poultry and collect the eggs each morning.
